Chess engine: a practical example
An engine can test a tactical claim by exploring the opponent's strongest defenses. The interface may show a score, depth, and principal variation, but each is a description of a particular search rather than a guarantee that every future outcome is known.
How to use the idea in your games
Use engine analysis after games or in permitted study. In a live competitive game, outside assistance can violate fair-play rules. Understand the output instead of copying moves without explanation.
A useful study question
Can you explain chess engine in your own words, identify it in a position, and describe when the idea does not apply? Test the explanation on a legal board before relying on it.
