Keep study separate from competitive play
Use the tools on this website for personal study, position exploration, and review of completed games. Do not consult an engine, conversational assistant, opening reference, another person, or this board during a competitive game unless the applicable rules expressly permit that assistance.
Rules differ across events and platforms. Your opponent’s informal agreement may not override platform conditions or tournament regulations. Read the organizer’s rules before the game and ask the arbiter or platform for clarification when needed.
Understand what a tool actually provides
The local board generates legal moves; it does not certify the best move. The prompt builder creates a template; it does not perform analysis. A language model’s explanation is not a substitute for a verified position and a checked variation.
Use the AI analysis workflow after a game. Keep an evidence trail that separates your own calculation, an engine line, and an explanatory interpretation.
Respect privacy and other players
Share only game material you are entitled to share. Remove personal information and private chat before copying content into another service. Do not use a rating discrepancy, a strong move, or a single engine-like sequence as proof of cheating.
Report suspected misconduct through the event or platform’s official process. Public accusations based on incomplete information can unfairly harm other players. Our player pages are neutral data excerpts, not fair-play assessments.
